We welcome new members at any time of the year. If you're interested in joining the Toy Library, please complete the membership form.

For more information, email us or come in and see us during opening hours on a Wednesday evening or Saturday morning.

Annual membership fee (valid for one year from date of registration / renewal)

Rostered members - $85

Non-rostered members - $150

Short-term memberships

3 month membership (non-rostered) - $45

6 month membership (non-rostered) - $80

What's the difference between rostered and non-rostered membership?

We ask our rostered members to help at the Library 3 - 4 times during the year (for 2 and a half hours per shift). We also ask you to volunteer at our annual stocktake.

Non-rostered members are not required to help at the toy library during the year. However, we still ask you to volunteer at our annual stocktake.

You can pay your membership fees by:

Other costs

$5 is charged for missing pieces of toys, lost bags, boxes, and damaged parts of toys. (You have a term to look for missing pieces before you are charged).

$1 per toy per week is charged for toys overdue for more than a week.
If toys are not returned or are irreparably damaged you may be charged to replace them.

The committee reserves the right to forfeit your membership until you pay all your membership costs, including overdue fines.

Financial Hardship Membership

We offer a limited number of yearly memberships for people who are in financial hardship and would otherwise not be able to join the Toy Library. Potential members can apply themselves or you can apply on behalf of a friend or family member. Application for this membership is made by emailing us and certain criteria will apply before any membership is granted.​​​
